Very nice- I like how long necked he seems to be, sort of like he's craning his neck to see over a rocky ledge. I also love the beautiful emerald green of him- is there or was there an image of an eagle on the American dollar? Because if so, its reminding me of that!

Thanks Lauren for your terrific compliments, he does appear to be craning his neck as many eagles do before they head out to fly! I too like his emerald green color & the flashy base with hints of gold. You are absolutely right, our US dollar (aka "single" in American slang) does have a crest on back with eagle and it has a latin banner saying "e pluribus unum", I don't know latin but think it means something like united we stand

MrsT thank you for the super compliment, it was a surprise for me to find the orig label with this eagle - hard to believe this piece is almost 50 yrs old, someone took very good care of it

Another US glass maker I don't know, the list seems endless!
This is very stylish Jenni, and I love the iridescence.

Super thanks Karen for your kind words & love, I really like this glassmaker Summit because they made some unusual glass animals, and I located a rare one that is also iridescent which I will post soon. Yes there were a lot of US glass co's, some less well known than a popular one such as Fenton, and I think you will enjoy my next animal post featuring a 1940s animal by one of these lesser known makers - Karen you make me so happy when you notice & appreciate these things, a million thanks my friend :)

Very grateful for the love all
