WW1 wood propeller tip with carved details.

Prop tip is about 2 1/2 feet long with metal tip protection still in place. I have no idea what aircraft this was used, nor do I know the prop manufacturer.

Carving has "AEF" "1918" and "France" deeply carved into one side.

Hole under the Eagle motif might have held a small photograph at one time. No attachments to hang.

My item, my photos don't copy.ww

I know who carved this. I have 2 more of them. The man was named Arthur Kubosch. He was an airplane mechanic near the Ardennes forest in WW1. He also boxed under the name Posey Williams. He was quite the artist and in later years a machinist.
He is mentioned in Gordon Maquarrie's book Tales of an old duck hunted.
He was an immigrant from Glogau, Germany and he lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was my great uncle on my fathers side.
