I am so happy for my Morpho Butterfly Wing brooch from cirka 1920s. Great condition for its age. It is marked Sterling Silver. Fantastic intense blue. It is about 4 cm long. Probably brittish. Probably one of my favourites.....
The morpho butterfly wings were chosen because of their beauty and the way they catch the light. Although very blue in the photos it is difficult to catch the iridescence of the wings in the photos. The way the tiny scales catch and reflect the light is magical.
I have a small collection of butterflye wings jewelry. Look into my "jewelry box" if you want to see some more. I have a category for them.
Very nice, I have a few small pieces with the wings, I just wish they didn't have to be from butterflies, this is lovely.
