Here's a Vienna bronze piece that I just acquired. It depicts a rabbit ready to nibble a cabbage leaf. It's so incredibly detailed that the cabbage leaf even looks real when seeing it from the underside. It's missing most of it's paint on the topside, but the bottom side still retains a majority of it's original paint. It appears that someone may have attempted to clean and polish is, thinking that the original paint was perhaps tarnish. This one is stamped GESCHUTZT, meaning copyrighted or protected. I'm still unable to read the initials stamped above GESCHUTZT, so I'm not sure if this is a Fritz Bermann, Stefan Buchinger, Moritz Spitz or Franz Bergman piece. The piece measures 6 1/4" by 5" and the rabbit stands 1 7/8" tall. I'm not completely sure of it's age, but it's definitely antique.
Thanks everyone for stopping in for a look!!
