The official name of this is "Scammel 6x6 Tractor & Crane 200 Ton Transporter". A long name for a long set. The front portion is the Scammel 6x6 Tractor and the trailer section the 200 Ton Crane Transporter. The trailer section has articulated axle sections. Those are called trucks on trains, not sure if that is the case here.
Being a Major Pack it is meant to be used with the regular models as apposed to the King Size which are a larger scale. So it can transport the various bulldozers and such. But in photo #4 it is carrying another Major Pack model. They got quite well together especially as Matchbox did not make a 200 ton crane.
