Here is a 6 3-4"H green glass angel fish cresting a wave bookend that was originally designed by Royal Hickman for Heisey Glass ca the 40s-50s, their item #1554, reissued in this verde green color by Imperial Glass

Thank you DejaVu for your wonderful compliments, it's been really great for me to find some classic Heisey pieces to show here & back up with my book info about them - you can still find the original clear Heiseys but I prefer the colored glass reissues for photographing. Have a few coming up in future
Phil thank you for your super praise and I'm really glad that you appreciated the colors here ( lighter green & shading on the fish, deeper green on the wave), this also came in a very pale blue but looked kinda washed out to me and the green had more intensity
Thank you Karen for your awesome compliments & enjoying the color & design, Royal Hickman as you know designed beautiful animals & in this Heisey glass series he often put them on a base of clouds (mammals) or waves (fish) to give them a deco look. I only have one of his huge animals, the flying mare, but there are many more large beauties like the clydesdale horse I only wish were in my budget (maybe a Christmas bonus honey if you're listening lol :)
