Some numbers in the series of “Ausführungen” (Executions) begun in 1907 are completely unknown. Only the entries on the Lötz paper patterns provide some clues. This means that we are at least aware of the existence of some Ausführungen for which there may not yet be any evidence. This is also the case with Ausführung 127 and Ausführung 128 from 1908. “Blattgrün” and “lichtbraun gesponnen” (“leaf green” and “light brown spun”) are noted on patterns II-6083 to II-6088. Nothing else was known. An example of Ausführung 127 or 128 in a museum, in a publication, on the Internet? Nothing.
Apparently, these Ausführungen were produced in such small numbers that after more than 100 years, they are nowhere to be found. And it takes a good deal of luck (and some knowledge) to discover them when they do finally surface. I had this luck with Ausführung 127. The inconspicuous vase, disguised as a product of the German crystal glass factory Benedikt von Poschinger Oberzwieselau, recently appeared at an auction.
The shape, description, and size (14 cm tall) correspond to pattern II-6083. The drawing of the spun threads is particularly helpful. They are dark green in color. It is also helpful to be familiar with Ausführungen 15 and 25. They are characterized as “white marbled with green.” The marbling in Ausführung 15 and 25, created with green aventurine glass, are identical to the base glass in Ausführung 127.

    Which Ausführung is next?

Congratulations on acquiring this wonderful vase. The good thing about the recent US tariff situation is there is less competition for items offered outside of the US. Normally, I would have been a serious bidder on this vase!

Thanks to everyone who commented. The important thing to me is that another gap in Loetz research has been closed.
