This was a super find on eBay AU recently. I have a few of these types of shell vases by Kralik but not in this colour, a deep shade of cobalt blue which appears purple due to the intense iridescence. The vase also features a clear applied strutted base.
Bohemian origin, circa 1900.
Last photo shows another local collector that enjoys blue things….yes, the bower bird is back in my garden after a few years off. Bowers were constructed in 2020, & 2021. This one seems to be at a totally different time of year to the others, so that’s slightly odd. An impressive construction with a nicely arranged collection!
Stunning color and shape! The leaves are beautiful as well. What are they ?
Many thanks, DejaVu2! The plant pictured with the vase is a Heuchera. They’re easy to grow plants with interesting patterned leaves.
