Here are a few more photos from behind that old house down the road. There is plenty more old stuff hiding back there, however, I cannot get a good shot from the fence line. I will try to get a hold of the guy and see if he will let me go on the property and photograph more.

That old VW takes me back to the 70s :-) Love it !! keep these great pics coming Packrat :-)
Packrat, how far are you from Ft, Hood? I'll be making a trip down that way, later this spring.
I love the 1940-41 chevy coupe in the back ground.
There are some good projects in there. The dry climate has been nice to these old rides.
Thank you very much vanskyock24, Manikin, trunkman , EJW-54, kerry10456, Trey & scottscuff. I do not think this guy is going to part with anything. They have a saying around here, "A man's wealth is measured by the amount of junk in his yard."
Nice find but so sad to see the chevy in that condition, my father used to drop us kids off to school in a mint origional 1938 chevy in about 1985 I wish he still had it.

I love to take those kinds of pics, too, and I love to look at others. I got a few funny looks when I took some pictures in the past, so I thought maybe they owner didn't like you doing it. I appreciated them ;)

Thank you very much gargoylecollector for the love.
The first family car I remember was an old micro bus, it had the oblong windows around the edge of the roof and a canvas , manual slide back sun roof. The folks would pile all five of us kids in it with a bag full of tomato and Velveta cheese sandwiches, maybe $2.00 worth of gas (which was a full tank) and it was off too Ocean City NJ. from Glenside, Pa. Being the youngest my seat was in the "wayback" with theconstantly drooling Bryard sheepdog and the "Dam cooler" as my father would call it. Remember those white styrofoam one's that would squeak the whole 140 miles there and back . Ocean City later became my permanent home. Well time to stop rambling Loved the pix BIG TIME. Thank you!!!
ERMELIN,
Great story, glad I could bring back memories. Many of the items posted here bring back memories to me all the time.
Yes, I remember those funky ice chests. I used to get car sick when I was a kid, so I was usually in bad shape all the way to our vacation destination.
Thank you for visiting.
Thank you very much Vontrike for visiting.

Maybe if enough of us "LOVE IT" CW will take a hint and allow it. Otherwise we take up a collection and bribe someone. Now, everyone look under the table for an open hand that needs filling.
When you post is says:
Show off favorites from your collection, or just an item you really like.
It's easy and free - upload a photo, write some text, and you're done!
The above is a photo and an item you really like. Must be a new moderator on a power trip.
Thank you very much fhrjr2, mikielikesigns2, MMM & mrmajestic1
I got their email last night informing me a picture I posted was removed. Such is life I guess. They need to eliminate the phrase "or just an item you really like" from the posting page.
