History of Barber Shop equipment all from 1900-1910
The shop was called Shawsheen Barber shop in Andover MA. The old man was called Nate Giamo. He was Billy Woods personal barber. Mr Wood built Shawsheen Village and the Wood Mills in Lawrence MA. Nate occupied the space in the Aberdeen Apartments on North Main Street Andover MA for 44 years. In 1960 he moved the shop to the Colonial Center,Andover MA. He was there for 4 years.I came along in 1964 and bought the business and all the equipment. The headrest on the chairs is stamped Oct. 1909.
