    Here's two little pitchers I picked up not long ago. The first one is RS Prussia and the one in pic 4 is signed Germany.
    Height:
    RS Prussia = 5 1/4" or 13.35 cm
    Germany = 4" or 10.16 cm

    I found similar on Kovels site...Here's what they say:

    "RS Prussia appears in several marks used on porcelain before 1917. Reinhold Schlegelmilch started his porcelain works in Suhl, Germany, in 1869. Porcelain made by Schlegelmilch factories is referred to by collectors as RS Prussia. See also ES Germany, RS Germany, RS Poland, RS Silesia, RS Suhl, and RS Tillowitz".

    When I got these I knew they were old, but I didn't know they were this old. Very cool! I'm happy about that.

    Art Nouveau pottery?

    Enjoy!

      Sorry everybody...I got locked out of my acct. My own doing of course cuz that's what I do! Also been crazy busy last few months. It's been my turn to do the mom thing.

      So late thanks you to all. I love these too. I used to collect this style and somewhere along the line swayed away from it. I think most of my collection is packed that's in this style (or gone). I'll be digging into that soon!

      Thanks again.

      The pitcher marked RS Prussia is unfortunately a modern fraud masquerading as an antique. For an example of the authentic pitcher, see this one on this site.
      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/89205-rs-china-creamer?in=673

      Notice how much more delicate and detailed the handle is at the top. The porcelain used for the antique piece is also much lighter and more translucent than the heavier grainy ceramic of the fake pieces. When RS Prussia prices skyrocketed for many years, there were lots of unscrupulous manufacturers and dealers ready to make a quick profit. There are many more fakes available on eBay and the online antique sites than there are authentic pieces. As long as you collect things because you love them, and not as an "investment" the occasional fake piece won't ruin the fun.

      Don’t forget the Bowie

      Hey Vynil33rpm I actually looked it up today and what it is, is a Disney story of Peter and the Wolf that Bowie narrated. My pic is awful, I'll have to snap another shot for you. A couple friends of mine opened an antique shop #needfulthings and I'll be working there for them. Right up my alley!
