This is Ol' Blue my 1966 Chevy C-25 (heavy 3/4 ton)It is a 283 4 speed. My dad bought it from our local Chevy dealer in 1974 and it has 263,000 miles now!
Yes it is rusty! But with a little tinkering this summer she ran and drove again for the first time in 15+ years.I made sure to drive her every weekend until it got too wet out.I have long term plans of making her road worthy again but leaving the "patina" if I would restore this truck I would have to replace everybody panel and I feel this wouldn't be the same truck I learned to drive when I was 12!

1st pic is after a cruise around the farm

2nd pic is in the shop getting the timing set and a protective roof for the bed(should have done this years ago)have to many cars to put it inside :(

    3rd pic is the last 4 generations of my dad's Chevy trucks -'66 (263,000 miles,'79(261,000 miles),'82 (286,000 miles),and his 1995 (with a measly 82,000 miles!) that's 892,000 miles!

and the 4th pic in 1984 when dad brought my 1934 John Deere D home from the other farm!btw this truck was used for many years as the shop truck at the Chevrolet dealer (notice the push bumper)

    Thanks for looking and enjoy!

I LOVE IT!! I HAD A 1960 CHEVY STEPSIDE IN 1989 AND I SANDED DOWN THE LAYERS OF PAINT THAT WERE ON IT AND PAINTED IT BLACK LACQUER, I'M NO BODY AND FENDER MAN BUT IT WAS ONE COLOR WHEN IT WAS DONE EVEN ON THE INSIDE, THAT WAS AN AWFUL LOT OF SANDING!! I WISH I CLEAR COATED IT BUT IT WOULD RUB UP NICE!!!
