I had a very good Sunday. All the silver you see on the table cost me a grand total of about $35.00. A mix of .835 and .925 silver. The small brooch is egg yolk amber and silver and dates from the early part of the 1900s.
The big pendant necklace is a special one. The coin is an old silver 2 1/2 Guilder piece from 1960. In Dutch, it's called a Rijksdaalder. This one is 720 parts out of 1000 silver. The Queen is Julianna. Set in an .835 silver mount with a .925 silver box chain. This item alone has a value much higher than what I paid for all the silver combined.
:-))))))
Thanks for looking/loving, friends.

Queen Juliana.
LOL! Oops - repaired...I was talking about Wilhelmina before I posted this and had her on the brain.
How you do it??? I am envious!!! Grrrrrr!!!
haha martika we need more luck. oops its 3am for me now. better head to the pillows!!
martika - I was shocked when I asked the price of that Julianna coin pendant, because I also bought the egg yolk amber pin, the the other two pendant necklaces from the same woman. I gave her about $16.00 for all of it.
I kept my last silver guilder for yrs. & never saw any increase in value, so gave it to a jeweler friend & had something made. Now, for unknown reasons, I am holding onto a 1971 Antillean Guilder that I understand is nickel based & sits on my kitchen window sill. Anybody know a reason why I keep this ? LOL !!
Fantastic finds Bonnie. I really love the Julianna coin pendant!!!
bb2 - hahaha! Yes, nickel replaced silver in 1970 because it became too expensive to produce silver coins.
fleafinder - it's 112 grams total.
