This must have been an "end-of-day" piece when the artisan just collected all of the different scraps of glass remaining at the workbench and made them into a final colorful vase. The bottle is more likely a barber bottle or a bud vase, (though I do suspect a genii resides within :-) It stands 8" inches tall and is about 3.5" in diameter at the base. The walls are quite thick and the object is heavy for its size. Pulled swirls of red, green, white, blue are randomly mingled giving a marbled appearance. There is an applied metallic oxide surface treatment in greens, golds, and purples. This décor is more frequently seen in the organic shape illustrated in the fourth photo, so I was happy to find the less common bottle shaped example of this décor.

Thank you all for the loves and the excellent comments which are much appreciated. I edited the post to add the first picture and removed the original third picture which was too contrasty (IMO) - Cheers! - Bob

Well Alan, Art Nouveau took a lot of inspiration from nature, and I can only guess what part of nature inspired the bud vase in the fourth photo (LOL) - Bob
