I couldn't leave these in the shop - not for that price! I've never seen such sunglasses - LOL! They do need some TLC, which they will definitely get next week. Geri has rhinestones for me, and I will be cleaning off the verdigris tomorrow and taking them to the optometrist to have the temple pieces put right. The lenses are glass and in wonderful condition. Era? 1940s? Later?

Please see photo of the mark on the inside temple piece.

I can hardly wait to read the comments.

    Thanks for coming by.

There are specific requirements if you wish to wear these sunglasses.
      1. It must be summer.
      2. You must wear red bermuda pants, a checked red and white blouse, ballet flats , and a scarf of your choice, but preferably one advertising Corfu or Monaco.
      3. You must be driving (not passenger) a rare, open top, European sports car from the 1950s, preferably a Panhard.
      4. Your lipstick must be RED.
      5. You may wear as many bangles and bracelets as you wish.
      6. You must look cool and aloof.
      6. We will require photographic proof, preferably in colour, but if it is black and white, please have the photo tinted appropriately.

I would have paid $3.00! Fantastic! Is there a mark on the inside left arm?

Ha, Karen's right, these had to belong to the right persona. They are adorable, truly statement eyewear. What makes them really interesting is that back in the day, women were discouraged from wearing glasses as making them look unattractive, this lady took it in the entire other direction! Fantastic!

So glad you did not say Dame Edna!!!!

Hey, All >>>>> after I restore these to their former glory, I'll check out my local European sports car retailers and see if they will let me do a photo shoot. :-)))))

Couldn't agree more about the attire to wear with these sunglasses. They couldn't be cooler. Fab.

Karen!!! Lol! I badly want to see our Bonnie in the whole scenery you described :-)))

Bonnie, so dramatic in a fun way!

      I read C M & Cie for the mark.
The "& Cie" indicate it is a French speaking maker, Cie stand for compagnie.
    11. Efesgirl Efesgirl, 6 years ago
Pascale - I wondered if it might be a French mark. I took a look on the web but only came up with defunct real estate company. Somehow, I don't think that was right.

      I don't see the C -- perhaps it's M & Cie?
    13. Efesgirl Efesgirl, 6 years ago
katherinescollections > The "C" is angled above the ampersand. Kyratango is French and recognized the mark. :-))))
