Measures about 12" wide, handle which is pivoted made of wood and metal is about 6". First I thought that you could hang wickers on there for candle making but the stand makes it impossible. Then I thought it was for grilling hot dogs but the handle is way too short and the wood is quite delicate so would burn close to the fire. sharp pointy hooks. Beats me???

The handle is reversible so it could be for toasting slices of bread.
I thought a bread rack also.

I'm guessing for spiking potatoes and placing the device on the hearth or near a campfire. When done on one side, turn the thing around and pivot the handle away from the fire.
Large whole fish broiler,a difficult food item to cook without sticking, and it would not take long.
I definitely know what it is .... goes with Record you may or may not have seen
