Something I found at the last Long Beach Antique Flea Market while shopping for Christmas presents. This was a one for me. When I shop for Christmas presents I tend to do a one for you one for me thing. Bought a box of these along with some Marx dinosaurs so I will milk this for several posts.
MPC made this for Nabisco as a premium aka a free toy. The best part of every box of cereal. These are actually fairly nice quality. MPC was not known for making the highest quality pieces and tended to make cheap copies of the Marx figures. At first I thought they were Marx figures as the Sail Fish in photos 1-3 has "Sail Fish 15 Feet" on the tail. Marx animal figures tended to have that along the hind quarters or tail.
The Sail Fish is cast is a lovely green color. The squid is in a not as lovely yellow. The yellow tends to be a bit translucent. Yellow was a popular color for Marx and MPC. At least it has a flat finish (possibly from lead). Current plastic tends to be bright and glossy.
I got five of these figures. Looked online and there are several more and they are pretty neat so it looks like I will have to get some more.

Never heard of these. Cereal premiums were great, I ate cereal I'd never had before just to have them.

Thank you very much Toyrebel. I think they were also sold on a card. I don't even recall the Nabisco cereals. It was all Post and Kellogg's.

That is funny, its one for him, 3 for me at my house, since I do most of the buying, he chooses the box of chocolates. We are ready for our play date FA....lol.
I buy one for me for pretty much every present I buy. I don't plan it that way but that is how it comes out.
