This 2"H goldtone brooch shows a saddled camel with sapphire blue rhinestone ball and multicolor bead & faux pearl dangles. By Napier (founded @ 1915) from the 1960s

Goodness- you've outdone yourself with really pretty brooches this week Jenni! This little camel is my favourite upload of yours this week, you can just imagine him lolloping through the wavering heat in the desert and his tassel jewels are great! :)

Thanks Maureen for the super compliment, I know this is quite the dressy fella with his beaded saddle & canopy, I think it's a pretty exotic piece from Napier - seems alot of designers went for that far east glamour in the 60s

That's true MrsT they do look like balloons in my photos, actually those are dangles that I splayed out to show them individually, it is quite the busy piece but very different I think
