The Fires burning around the San Francisco Bay Area, in Northern California, are putting so much Smoke in the Air that the Sun light is Orange. Mokey, and the Kittens seem to be alright, but the Air isn't very healthy, and I'm hoping that the Cat Foster Care Giver from the CC4C will be calling about when they'll be coming to get them. The Kittens are Bigger everyday, and really enjoy playing on and around the Front Yard Deck, that they're staying under! :^D
***Mokey is calling her Kittens, but will be OK! :^D

Such adorable kittens, it is really something how most came out Mokey gray, then a tabby & a B&W tuxedo. I'm sure once the rescue folks arrive they'll have no problem finding homes. Sorry about the poor air quality there Bill hope it lifts soon & the fires stop, stay inside whenever you can - J.
Thanks Jenni, for your very nice comment! :^D The lighter Gray Kittens are a little striped, the Dark Gray, like Mokey, not so much, the Tuxedo is like the one in the Litter of 2 Kittens April-May, and the Tabby is like a Male Cat in the area, I think 2 fathers, though and neither took responsibility! :^D Thank you for the love that you gave! :^D Be responsible by Wearing a Mask, when you go out! :^)

But then there's that unfortunate bit about them being on the opposite side of the USA from where I am, and that I already have my own Woda housebeast (plus nowadays Oreo puppy...I still can't quite figure out how that part happened but am going with it anyway...she's a sweet puppy too, who seems to be perfectly happy/at home in my backyard...) <LOL>
Staying safe and masked here Bill -- a City (but not State) -wide mandate here at least. I don't think we're back (?) to being a "hotspot" (again?) but if they really did try to reopen even some of the schools today (as many announced they were gonna do, in various ways, a few of which have already rescinded those announcements) I fear our AR #'s will continue to decidedly *not* be "flattening the curve"... <sigh><groan>
Keep those kitties safe Bill and you and yours also out there. I always mask as well. Mandatory here in Michigan. I have no problem masking up. A very easy thing to do.
...aww crap...just remembered that I *do* havta still make a run to the store for another bagful of puppy chow... <sigh><headdesk>
Hey Sir Vynil, they sure are! :^D I've taken a few videos of them, it's fun to see them interact with each other, and the different things around them, like chasing their shadow! :^D Everything happens so quickly, they're drinking water out of a bowl, and soon be eating food too!
Yea Tim, they are, and I hope that they'll find good Forever Homes, but for now just doing the best I can to keep them here, and to hear our voices, and to interact with them, so they won't be afraid of People! Mokey has become a real sweet Kitty Cat, and is happy to be petted, picked up, which hopefully will help, in meeting their new people! :^D
Thanks Rich, I'm trying to do the best that I can, with the Kitties, and us, but all this smoke in the air isn't helping! Just hope that the Kitties are alright under the deck, for now! :^D Really no leaving the House, until the air is a little cleaner! Cat Feeding is still happening though! :^D
Tim that reminds me I have to pick up some more Bird food! How did these Animals ever survive without me! LOL :^D

Feeling for you during the fires - know exactly what you're going through as we had just the same situation in late 2019 - early 2020 - the smoke & orange skies...& the fear of what may happen next...stay safe...& the kitties are so sweet...
Thanks Marin, we're getting a little more offshore breeze today, so it's moving the smoke a little, but hopefully it doesn't blow too hard, and break the small bit of containment that the Firefighters have on the Fires! The Kittens have been joining Mokey, at Her Food Dish, and doing good, but Mama's Milk is still there for them! :^D

A woman from CC4C (Community Concern for Cats) came over after 5pm yesterday, for Mokey's Kittens, but couldn't take Mokey, because she's a feral, and must be cared for differently than the Kittens. Mokey Hisses as a greeting, and it's a little concerning, for someone that doesn't know that, I can see that, it's why I told Mokey if she wants food, she has to Meow, so she went Meow Hiss, and I said alright I guess that's good enough! :^D Mokey really is looking, and calling for her Kittens, but is still friendly to me, and I was able to put a flea collar on Her today, just incase, I didn't see any fleas on her though! She'll be ok and we, or the CC4C, will give Her a check-up, all her Shots, and Spay Her, and hopefully find her a Forever Home, or return her back to our neighborhood! :^D

Wonderful news about the kittens Bill. It is so nice that you are kind to their feral mama, when younger my husband and I cared for four outdoor kittens that grew into cats, for several yrs, tamed them & brought to the vet for shots & flea meds. It eventually became too much, we had a parakeet so was afraid to take them indoors, so we eventually got them into transports & dropped off with donations at various no kill shelters or vets offices. I wish you all the best with Mokey in the future - Jenni
Thank you Jenni, Mokey has been calling for her Kittens, at the various places that she took them, but is staying close, and looking for attention, and of course food! :^D I just hung up from the woman from CC4C, and she said the Kittens are settling in, and doing good, and she's waiting for a callback from the Vet-hospital, for an appointment for Mokey, so looking good! :^D Take Care, Wash your Hands often, and Wear a Mask, in public! :^)
I welcome this as generally good news Bill -- but also feel for Mokey who undoubtedly doesn't have any real clue of where/why her little family suddenly disappeared from her to... I DO SO TRULY hope that your CC4C lady will likewise come thru with whatever she needs to otherwise care for Mokey's future as well, if you yourself don't end up doing that for her...? ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hi there, good news. I have a place for Mokey! You will need to bring her to me Sunday by10am and I will transfer her to Marin Humane. She will be a CC4C pet partnership transfer.
I was so happy to hear this, Mokey needs a Forever Home, She's a very sweet Cat, that loves to be petted and brushed! :^D Last Sunday Mokey was spade given a check up, all her shots, and a Chip, so if she's lost, and found the Chip will be scanned, so the Owner can be reached. I got Mokey a Collar and Leash, on Tuesday, and after a few walks around the yard, She liked it, and did really good! :^D By Sunday She should be ready to go, and loves riding in a carrier in the Car too! Thank you all for the loves given, Mokey thanks you too!

Also this was her write up...
Mokie showed up one day in a yard with 5 kittens in tow. She is a friendly girl and introduced her kittens one by one to the kind homeowner. She then set up residence in the yard and tended to her kittens while he tended to Mokie and the kittens needs. Mokie became fast friends with her caretaker--winding herself around his legs, enjoyed petting and lap sitting. She even learned to walk on a leash!
Now Mokie's kittens are off to foster homes to get properly schooled in human-kitten relationships, and with the duties of motherhood behind her, Mokie is looking for her new forever home. We will be getting to know more about Mokie now that she is at our shelter--so check back for new updates!
We are so pleased that kindness was shown when this little stray mom and her 5 kittens showed up in a yard one day and that their journey has brought the whole family to Marin Humane.
