Various costume jewelry manufacturers have created Christmas Tree brooches throughout the decades of North American manufacture of these popular pieces. Yet one company is most often thought the industry leader. The American Eisenberg Company (1914 - present) has achieved national and international success during decades of such brooch manufacture. It is not difficult to understand why. Eisenberg’s many creative tree designs usually show heavily-stoned pieces that sparkle and glow. Despite the reality of ongoing creation of (prong set and not) Eisenberg trees, the vintage prong set pieces remain the most often sought.

If I had to pick one, it would be the lovely green & red tree in photo two, true Christmas colors, and beautiful prong set stones.
Wonder why such companies such as Trifari, Eisenberg, and yes, even D & E ( though I would never buy one) stopped using prongs and turned to glue and false prongs? Cheaper? Faster production?
It’s no wonder why Eisenberg’s prong set are more sought after! No mystery there!
So good to see you Leanne! Staying warm up there? We finally got a small amount of rain here, but need so much more...Merry Christmas!

Thank you, Newfld. They are such fun pieces to collect and wear. Merry Christmas.

Thanks, Mrstyndall. Not a lot of places to wear them to this year ... but I’m wearing where I can. Merry Christmas.

Hello Eileen — Yes, it must be a lot cheaper to create in the “new” way. I buy both, but am more drawn to the prong pieces. Warm? What’s that? :) We have snow. Merry Christmas to you, as well.

Manikin — Hello. I see your brooches. Great collection, you have. Merry Christmas.
