I obtained this sharpener at a yard sale. Visible are its two degrees of coarseness. This is is a cool relic of the Niagara Falls, NY, Carborundum pre-acquisition plant.
This quality product is truly a very good tool....

My Dad had one and had it housed in a fitted wooden box. He always referred to it as ‘the carborundum’. A bit of oil and he was in sharpening heaven.
