Heavy cast iron teapot with bird beak spout, star centered around # 8. Late 1800s attributed to Chattanooga Stove Co. Pot made specifically to be sold with stove.

I have one very similar to yours.
The lid of mine says Rome Stove Works.
That company was located in Rome Georgia.
My parents used the kettle as a humidifier on top of their wood stove heater for many years, just as Falcon61’s grandmother did.
