Here is a 3 1-2"H opaline blue glass owl creamer with feather and leaf pattern and two glass eyes, item #335 by Imperial Glass. The milk glass versions were ca 1955-60 per book Glass Animals by Spencer. The creamer came as a set with an owl sugar bowl

DejaVu you've nailed it, the artistry of the pattern really shows up in this light blue glass - there were darker colors like cobalt & purple slag, but with them it's difficult to see the detail (how bout those cute feet!) and this also is an uncommon glass color for me

Phil, he looks totally surprised but also more gentle than predatory... people often forget that owls are birds of prey, but I think they're more well liked than others because we don't see them hunting which they do at night. And there are such pretty owl varieties, the snowy owl is my fave, lovely in winter
Scott isn't it a great little creamer, it's a shame I couldn't find the matching owl sugar bowl, but I know you appreciate that with vintage items you're lucky to find just one much of the time. I love that expression too, the glass artist captured the real owl look
