This bracelet I could buy from a lady which could not wear it anymore due to reumatism in her pulse so it was too heavy for her. She told me she bought it on an auction in The Netherlands. Because of the magnifique coloured different agates I love it very much.
As I understand there is still left more scottisch pebble jewelry in silver than in gold. So I'am very happy to own this beautyful juwel. The gold hallmark is 585 (Dutch hallmark for 14K). Is it correct that it was made about 1880?

Hi!! This is a super example of Scottish Agate Pebble Jewelry. My business is antique and fine jewelry I am a fellow collector and connoisseur and yes your item does appear from the photographs to date from the late 19th century, it may possibly be just a little later than 1880. I am sure you know Scottish Pebble jewelry was popularised by Queen Victoria due to her love of Balmoral and the highlands. This is a very fine piece and the hand engraving looks wonderful.
