The Magirus-Deutz Crane Truck aka 6 Wheel Crane was released in 1961 and sold through 1964. In 1965 the larger and much more common 8 Wheel Crane was released. Both are fine models.
This has the classic look of a 1950s construction vehicle. The trucks then were much smaller than those of the 1960s from fire trucks to semi trucks.
On this model the exciting feature is that the cranes moves around 360 degrees. Not the 360 degrees that people on facebook say to mean 180. IE it goes all the way around. It does not go up and down. Perhaps next week I will post one that goes up and down and all the way around.
Nice! I like that classic look too. 60's Matchbox had great color schemes.
