This Durand small powder box is done in green cased over opal with applied gold King Tut décor. Both the form and décor are on the harder to find side of Durand glass. It stands 2-7/8" (7.3 cm) tall lidded and measures approximately 3-1/2" (6.9 cm) in diameter at its widest. The shape number is undocumented. Ca. 1924-31

      This is sensational.
So, a star is cut into the upper side of the lid??
    2. DuDa DuDa, 6 years ago
Yes, the star is cut into the top. We are unsure, but it may have been done like that to hide the punty mark.

Nice! I agree with you on why the star is cut in the top.
