    Hello everyone!
You've seen the Pierre Chenet bronze pug sculpture that I posted recently. Here is another bronze pug from my collection. Though it appears to be the exact same thing as the Pierre Chenet, it's not. There are slight differences between the two. For example, this pug's left paw is extended slightly further, than the Pierre Chenet pug, making it 10 1/4" long vs. the 10" long Pierre Chenet. This pug sculpture is also not marked with the Pierre Chenet "Crown" foundry stamp. There are also some minor differences in the pug's wrinkles as well. Pic #4 shows both pug sculptures together, with the Pierre Chenet sculpture being the one on the right. Anyway, they look great displayed together and I'm proud to have them both in my collection.

Thanks for stopping in for a look!!
    Scott

Thank you kivatinitz!! I can usually spot a true Pierre Chenet fairly easily. But, this one threw me off until I compared the two very closely.

Yes! Pugs are the most loyal of dogs, wanting to be with you every minute. Once my Daughter and I hiked up a mountain on my property hunting chanterelles. Quite a steep hike, in places. After a couple hours, we decided to head back down and out of the brush comes “Doug”. An amazing feat for a short legged dog! I just said, sorry buddy, but you gotta turn around and head back down”, as we had picked all the mushrooms we needed.
They are both beautiful statutes, each with qualities of their own.
