Green seems a rediculous colour for a squirrel and yet here you throw that theory out of the window ! A black and brown seems less and less the right colour. Perfect amount of light passes through to give better definition. Another thing is if you view a larger picture, as if the object is held right before your eyes, you get a level of cuteness that never ends. Beautiful !~

Lovely deep olive color on this squirrel, and very fitting in theme especially coming into the autumn. The color is just right, not bright green but darker and with his pose I think he’s sitting guarding his acorns and maybe thinking about collecting some more!

A grey squirrel, a brown squirrel, natural and real.
Green squirrel not natural. But exceptional!

Aw Phil, what lovely praise for this green squirrel, yes he's fantasy-colored in green but still a very cute design. I have his "mate" by Fostoria in a brownish amber, much more believable for squirrels, who are out on my lawn right now digging for their 'buried treasure' or else hiding it in the ground for winter food. They are most fascinating little animals scurrying about

Lauren I am so glad you noticed that this is a fitting season for squirrels, and I do love this darker green color too - the best photo I think is the darkest, #2, which shows his adorable face. And yes he is most probably guarding his acorns with the little hands folded, he's not letting anyone get them!! Thank you for your fabulous observant comment

Vynil I am so thankful & relieved for you (hope you saw other comment I put on your post) that Ida did not totally harm you and that your power is back on. I am sure that New Orleans is better prepared for terrible storms since Katrina, but here in NY we are never on top of the situation - although my more eastern Long Island area got minimal damage, NYC and the other boroughs were hard hit with flooding & deaths of non evacuated folks, many had basement apts & got trapped by the high waters, so awful. Our City may be fine for its attractions like Broadway shows & landmarks, but it is very overcrowded to live there & not always well organized in emergencies like this. Truly appreciate your kind comment

Thank you Searching for your super compliments & glad you liked the olive green of this squirrel - it also came in clear, amber & blue but the olive seemed to show the sweet expression of this doe-eyed squirrel the best. Having the mates pair in different colors is pretty cool as I like variety in my glass animals

Thanks so much Alfie for finding the wonderful here for this little green guy, he is most grateful for your really kind words - in fact, he is quite 'nuts' about 'em lol :)

vintagelamp thank you very much for your sweet comment & kind thoughts for my safety, yes here on Long Island some towns had more storm damage esp on the north shore - fortunately on the south shore where I live, although I'm close to the bay & Jones Beach, we had rising waters but mostly were spared. However several yrs ago during the Sandy storm our area was deluged with flooding & power out for wks, you just never know where the storm will hit hardest

Karen I am so pleased you enjoyed my exceptional green glass squirrel!! I have grey, amber & brown glass squirrels, so why not add a fantasy green squirrel into the mix lol :) The Fostoria squirrels were classically made which I think makes them so appealing - the tails are thick & heavy so they easily topple the squirrel over while photographing, so in their cabinet I lay them down - no more casualties since moving, please! Thanks as ever for your awesome comment

Lol vintagelamp, a menagerie it certainly is, I have a whole room of collected glass animals in display cabinets & consoles, plus an overstuffed jewelry armoire!! But I love them all as they are my 'surrogate pets' :) Thank you for your super comment and the love for this green squirrel
