Got an old telephone from a flea market and converted it into a lamp with LED puck lights. Now it's in my wife's office and she loves it. Old phone with a new purpose.

What an AWESOMELY CREATIVE idea??!!! I've never seen anything like it and would have never thought of it myself...OTOH, now that I *have* seen it, I do have a few boxfuls of old phones downstairs already...?? ;-) ;-) <LOLOL>

I was thinking it would be cool if you made the switch one of the buttons in the phone cradle.

Dav2no1, that's the *very first* thing my partner said when I showed him this post...<lol>...it'd take a little bit (but not all that much) of extra 'seat of the pants engineering' to turn/replace the stock hookswitch under those buttons into a 'click on/off' one, but it seems there'd be little doubt that Wildjunking could figger that out, too...? :-) :-) :-) :-)

Now I REALLY wish I had the old black rotary phone from my childhood! No clue about whatever became of it though.
I still remember our 4 digit phone number: 9605.
I’ve gotta start prowling junk stores to make one of these; it’s just perfect!
