Till I am waiting for few pieces of Art glass making there way to me, I am on the hunt :-), but i would never expect(always wish) to found at the thrift shop Yesterday something that beautiful, specially at the end of day, when everyone pass without notice this nice piece of art glass.
Amber colours with dark oil spot, with is own metal lid( look silver)this piece show lot of wear at the base and the lid make no exception, estimate dating around 1910-30, no plan for cleaning or polishing this lid, I love it the way it is.
The shape is absolutely amazing, 12 side Polygon " dodecagon", i look all over the lid to find any hallmark, no mark.
This little jar stand 7.25 inch with lid on, 5 inch no lid, 3.75 inch wide.

Scott, early that same day and same thrift, I found a metal trunk, I should have some time to post shortly.

Alan - given the shape, colour and lid, I am wondering if your find is a tobacco jar or cigar humidor. Perhaps part of a smoking set? To me it has an English feel to it.
