    ==================

    Daniel Vargas is a professional Western Canadian artist who lives and works in Maple Ridge, British Columbia and has been creating functional art from molten glass since 1958. Trained by his father in the timeless tradition of the Mexican Glass artists, Daniel has added facets of the great European styles to his remarkable designs. He has worked in various glass studios throughout Western Canada in the past 40 years. Daniel struck out on his own five years ago, opening a full production glass studio in Maple Ridge called Arte Vargas Glass Blowing Studio. Daniel creates contemporary Canadian works of art in his own unique style.......Arte Vargas produces a line of vases, perfume bottles, paper weights and unique sculptural works of art that include Canadian wildlife (cranes, eagles, bears, birds, moose, elk, big horn sheep) and domestic animals (roosters, swans, horses and pigs). Each blown glass piece is an original and hand signed by the artist.......His work is also shown in various galleries across Western Canada and can be found in many private and corporate collections throughout the world.
