This 2 3-4" stylized dolphin dolphin brooch has a dark blue enamel body, green scales, rhinestone accents and red eye, on goldtone. By Panetta (1945-1980s)

Oooh LOOK at this fish!!! He's BEAUTIFUL! His tail and every other part of him down to the deep teal colour he is!
His tail and body bring me back to my childhood, when I used to have an obsession with mermaids and would spend ages drawing them and getting all their little scales in and I'd give them tails like this! :)
I think this actually maybe my favourite of your brooches so far?!

Eileen thank you so much about noticing all the detailing, I know isn't it great, I esp loved the eyelash and the spout - then I read, dolphins don't actually have spouts, yet they do blow water from above (so what is that called, right!). So Panetta took artistic license, but it's pretty nice anyway and so glad you enjoyed, always appreciate your kind praise
Right Lauren, it does have a mermaids tail, and the eyelash is very feminine. I wish they would do more brooches of mermaids I love them too. Thank you so much for your wonderful compliments I'm so happy that this is one of your favorites, you're really sweet
