A lovely well built Garland trunk refinished. Beautiful cast iron fingering. Awesome label, and bonus company store front pic. Last pic is the ‘before’. Finding the right trunk is half the battle!

Great job as always! Some books and a lamp on top of that and it would be a most loved table in my house :)

It's a BEAUTY T-man!! You did a fine restoration on this. I love the label and the store front pic too.

Another beautiful job. This looks very similar to a trunk I have. Was this covered in canvas? If so, how did you get the canvas and glue residue off? The finish on the trunk now is absolutely gorgeous. I removed the canvas from my trunk, but found that it was very difficult getting rid of the glue residue.

Thanks all for your lovely comments ! facstchr - yes this was canvas covered. Took an exacto knife around the edges and lifted up a small corner - canvas usually just pulls off! The trick for the glue is a very wet.. not damp but wet cloth basically soaking the glue and wood with water and use a scrapper to remove as most of the older glues were water soluble. Thanks again’
