A good example of a Bohemian vase, circa 1900? Pale opalescent with vaseline applied leaves and flower with cranberry highlights. The turnover squared top is unusual. There is broken pontil which is recessed into the body of the vase. 13 cms high and 13 cms across the top. Reasonably heavy. The flower is splashed with darker pieces of ruby - a technique used by Kralik, especially on some of their floriform pieces. An attractive item.

Many thanks, Ms.CrystalShip. The pastel colour is superbly done and does assist to promote the overall design of the vase. This was one of our first Bohemian glass items. I didn't know much about where it came from or who made it. Those gaps in my knowledge have been filled through reading and searching on the net. I have a few more that I will photograph and post here soon.
