Ironwood Penguin
Approximately 18" tall x 8" wide
Circumference at belly 21"
This thing is dense! I put it on my doctor's scale and it weighs 18 lbs. The piece has some damage including a missing toe and crack in the opposite side toe. It's scary to stand up with the missing leg, because if this thing falls over...its gonna damage something due to its weight.
The plan is to repair the missing toe and stabilize the crack in the other toe. And his beak has some damage that needs reshaping.

***Reshaped his beak. Added a collage of pictures. How did I do? Also made a new toe, (not shown), stripped the finish, new stain and wax. Looking good now!

Thanks Scott. It was a little more challenging than I expected. Had to get the arch underneath and on top without loosing the side shape. Just a little at a time.
