When I saw this lovely vase by Fritz Heckert, I knew I had to have it, to go with a very similar smaller piece that I own. Although the two decors are a bit different in the details, they both feature flowers and butterflies in gilt, outlined with red, blue, and green. I think they go very well together! The vase is just over 7" (17.8cm) tall, and is a classic Heckert shape. Heckert called the glass used 'Bronzecypern' which is a blue-violet color; the vase is a deeper color with a slightly smoother finish than that on the smaller bowl.
Great shape, shows the decor off nicely..love it!..another one! and you have the start of a collection.. :-)
