Racing on wood-lined tracks ,Motorcycles with no brakes,no clutch pushing 100 Miles Per Hour with tires not much bigger than a ten-speed bicycle......
now this was entertainment!,..it was the "biggest thrill of all" back in 1908-1915. After the war the tracks got bigger and are called Board Tracks ,not as exciting as the smaller Motordromes (1/4 or 1/3 laps to a mile) tracks. The Board Tracks 1 or 2 mile tracks still was very popular, due mostly to how expensive upkeep was this form of Racing faded into history,.....If anyone has any Motordrome/Board Track info or photo's let us know here at Collector's Weekly

      Thanks,...as you can tell this is a Harley-Davidson Board Tracker,....around 1915
Indian Motorcycle dominated the Motordrome's from 1908 to 1911 then Excelsior's have Indian a run for their money,...Harley's did not race on these early wood tracks really until after WWI,..yes love this histroy!!!
