I remember these from the 1960's era as my Dad had one just like this. Great funny Ashtray. The top has embossed " FOR A WHALE OF A GUY". It is just marked with Japan on the bottom -- but this whale guy DOES have another label on the inside of his mouth that looks to say *Lego* Japan. Ceramic Ashtray. Ashtray's back then had so much character...LOL

@Efesgirl - Lol, they sure made Ashtray of all sorts!! At least they could have put a hole in the top of the whale so the Smoke could filter out. That would have been even neater !!
