    I see these around now and then and have a rough idea of what they are. Apparently it goes on a stove top. It could be used for baking for those who had no oven or could just be for warming pies or some such.
    Hard to say how old it is. The style looks pre 1930 to me although I am not even close to solid on that. 1930s look more art deco and 1950s more space age.

      Thank you very much Celiene. It does indeed appear to be a camp oven. Haven't found mine yet but others like it are from the 1920s.
