Beautiful in this slag glass example. I have the same swan, but in milk glass with a doeskin finish. I bought almost 2 years ago, but never got around to adding it. I really love this one. Thanks, for sharing yours!!

      I love slag glass...
And to see it in a purple swan...
Well it can't get much better.
Swans are soothing characters, and when I look at yours that's the feeling that I get :)

Ahh- it's Odile or Odette? Swan Lake anyway... But it's such a lovely and unusual bowl anyway, the stripes really add to the design I think.
Swans are so dignified as it is and I can see this one gliding through the reeds at dusk or dawn :)

Thank you so much for the love everyone

Thanks TimeT for the super compliment, and I really hope you will post your milk glass doeskin swan, that sounds gorgeous! I know what you mean, this swan has been sitting on my shelf for a couple yrs, guess it was just asking to be posted lol :)

Thanks so much Scott for the great compliment, there are so many beautiful swan bowls that have been made over the yrs but many are unmarked or unlabeled so I was lucky to find this oldie in pretty good shape

Thomas super thanks for your fantastic compliments, I am always happy to hear that I put out some good posts, I love to share pretty pieces with everyone to give and get a smile! My musical friend, I hope you enjoy next wk's quartet which will include some St Paddy's Day items you may enjoy

Very glad you liked this swan Broochman & thanx for the wonderful compliment!

MrsT I'm so happy you found this swan bowl pretty & thanks for the lovely compliment, I think the amethyst slag is one of Imperial's nicest opalescent colors

Eileen I'm glad to find a nice example of slag glass, it's not always my 1st choice in glass because I prefer clear colors, but being that purple is my fave color I couldn't resist this guy. And what I do like about slag glass is that it's very mysterious, for example the bowl design looks like smoke rising. Wonderful compliments as always my friend, thank you

Thank you so much Recordmantime, delighted that you enjoyed this and many thanks for your great compliments

Lauren I love Swan Lake too, that was my favorite ballet and I used to drag my father to see it whenever a touring ballet company was visiting (mostly England's Royal Ballet). I would call this swan more Odile because it is mainly a dark color "pretending" to be a white swan, like Odile did with Odette! It is dignified looking and thank you for the lovely compliments

Lisa your swan bowl sounds beautiful I hope you will post it, orange & gray slag glass must be gorgeous. A nifty idea to keep stone eggs in it, will have to think of a something good to fill mine. Many thanks for your terrific comment

Phil I'm really thrilled you enjoyed this swan, he is pretty unique and should be preening right now with all this fabulous praise
