I adore it!...Like I said before I love all things marine and he's the sweetest happiest whale I've ever seen- the open smile and the spray of rhinestones are so sweet...he's certainly having a whale of a time :P

Thanks Kevin for the super comment, yes this whale certainly has a huge happy smile, isn't it great when designers can give an animal personality - although with dolphins, now THEY actually seem to be smiling sometimes, even laughing
Lauren I'm delighted that you really liked this whale, he is a charmer! The spout of rhinestones really sparkles, it doesn't show up in my pix but that is one reason this is such an attention getter. Thank you for the wonderful compliments my friend and I love marine life as well, can't visit places like Sea World at the moment so have to see these swimmers on TV for now

Thanks six-0-one for the fab compliments, this was an absolutely great find 4 me - if you look online, this vintage KJL is going for a couple bills, but I got it awhile ago very reasonably and I cherish it as part of my KJL collection, he did such creative figurals

Now I have finished shouting I will say Jenni that the fun and style of this brooch really appeals to me. Yes, I am a tad childish :)
I think this whale's goofy grin brings out the child in all of us Karen, thank you so much for the fantastic compliments & love, you are spot on about this piece which is fun across generations - many times kids point to it when I wear it. Better a smile than a frown anytime, although with masks on all you can see are eye crinkles but that's still OK :)
Great close-up photo of a fantastic brooch. I'd wear this to a New Years Party or 4th of July Party at the Beach & have a Whale of a Good Time!
