In 1908 a large art show was held in Vienna in honor of the Emperor of Austria. This art show was organized by Gustav Klimt and Otto Prutscher. In the room with the title "Room for an Art Lover", the pearl glass vases designed by Otto Prutscher were shown in a gold-plated and richly decorated showcase alongside the well-known stem glasses by Otto Prutscher. This exhibition came in very handy for Mr. Max Spaun; he used them to present them to the public with the help of the newly designed glasses by Otto Prutscher and to protect them against imitations (Ricke). This design protection was applied for in Pilsen in 1908 with the wording "Glass pattern 753 produced by irregularly distributed silver beads in the glass". The "Ausführung 75" shown here is a successful combination of "Titania" and "Perlglas". So far, the "Ausführung 61" to 76 are documented, there is also a reference to "pearl glass Ausführung 86", with silver, pea-green and purple-red threads and small silver balls (Lötz I, Ricke, page 228, number 272), this reference was previously not verified yet. I also recently saw a pearl glass vase in the style of rainbow glass with Titania swirls and silver pearls at a Viennese auction house; this decor has not yet been identified either.
    Pictured here are:
Design 1908, PN II 5710, "Ausführung 75", "Pearl glass imperial red with "Titania". Imperial red opal, wound with silvery, irregularly waved threads. Reduced. Covered with colorless glass, interspersed with small solid silver beads, then model-blown. For Josef Grünwald Vienna July 13th, 1908, made only once in this version. Height 27.5 cm
Design 1908, for Josef Grünwald Vienna, PN II 5707, decor: "Perlglas lemon yellow", opal violet, "Ausführung 65". Lemon yellow underlaid, in the upper part opal violet overlaid glass, the top layer with numerous solid ones Silver beads interspersed, blown into the mold and blown up. Lit .: Neuwirth “Lötz Austria 1905-1918, No. 22 Form and No. 21 Decor. H. 19.5 cm
Design 1908, Otto Prutscher, PN II 5517, decor: "Perlglas kaiserrot", "Ausführung 62". Red opal glass, the colorless top layer interspersed with small solid silver spheres, blown into the shape. H. 17.7 cm. This vase was also made in pearl glass blue opal with leaf green gradients and light blue opal gradients.

H. 19,5 cm
Entwurf 1908, Otto Prutscher, PN II 5517, Dekor: "Perlglas kaiserrot", "Ausführung 62".
