    On the subject of Papillon
Candia Papillon pieces ... in combination with glass threads and enamel.

This technique is similar to Alfredo's piece with raised glass threads creating the structure (outline) of the bird, plant and floral forms ... with inlaid metallic and enamel elements ...
... technically the design is a little isolated from most turn of the century Loetz ... hence the question about them being earlier ... although later is also a possibility ..
(have put in a Hi Res pic so zoom should be good on this)

Unsure of the year .... but have not been able to identify the shape in 1898 et. seq. ...
Reference PGM: Loetz room 2: 1st Cabinet to L of door
Have a couple of other decors in Candia papillon with brass mount which will post here when I have a chance ....

    18/9 Added Rainbows for comment ... Loetz / Harrach / Webb / Other ?
.... seemed unnecessary to crop it any further ...

OMG... they just have everything going for them. Only problem is you look like you have WAY too many of them :)

      Hi STG
Is starting to look that way ... Bid on the second (smallest one) to show th difference in size ... Then the middle one to confirm the L & R configuration ... Which shows they probably came in pairs ...
But then again they do make a nice group ...
      :-)

SteveS, you are not leading us into Sin! We are already waiting at the gate! And my belief is that longtime collectors should share in there over flowing booty!!! With others that can only dream of holding vases such as yours! XO

      Wow, great collection Steve.
They're all gorgeous. I like the flowery pink one peaking from the back, shame you can't see all of it.
