These glass swans were pretty popular in the 60s and 70s - you possibly have seen them around. Cheap, happy glass from Japan, made purely for the Western market.

The blue and orange here are different enough to be from different companies although I don't know who made what. They have bubble inclusions and quite roughly finished bases but are still totally hand made.

The duck is another species altogether. I think it may be from China but the same descriptors apply - cheap, happy glass!

I think the "ducky" took a little more work than the others. He gets my vote. :)

I prefer swans to ducks. I know that beneath the water, their feet are paddling like mad, but on the surface, swans appear so elegant and serene, silently gliding across the water. Ducks,....... they're just really noisy and irritating quacks! LOL. [;>)))

Like me!!! All calm and serene looking, mad underneath.....

I'm just the opposite! On the outside a crazed lunatic escapee from the loony farm, but cool, calm and collected underneath. ; p

All nice Cameron, but I love the duck! The first one reminds me of a salt. I wonder if that's what it is.

Sorry it should be Karen. I dictate these through voice recognition, and I didn't notice it picked up Cameron instead of Karen.

Rick that's pretty high tech. I don't mind being called Cameron by a computer!
Thanks for the comment and love :)
