I do like my oddities and these are a bit odd but are perfect for Halloween.
#1 is a pipistrel and Fire Bat combo. The Fire Bat is the lower more colorful one.
#2 is a hipposideros bicolor aka the Bicolored leaf nose bat.
#3 is a hairless bat although it appears to have hair to me.
All of these are about 9" from wingtip to wingtip although that is a bit deceptive due to the way they are displayed.
Wrapping it up at #4 is a fruit bat. They are the largest bats but are vegetarians.
    My Laboratory coming tomorrow night.

      Those are very nice.

Question on uploading pics. For some reason when I go to my 'post an item' page, I do not have an icon or button to upload photo's. I have asked CW but no response. Any idea's? (anybody?)

Thank you very much iggy. I have had that happen and usually restarting the computer works. Also you could try a different browser. CW works a bit differently depending on which browser you are using. Let me know if this helps.

Thanx fortapache. I figured it out. I had an outdated adobe plug in that I had to update.

These are my favourite of your taxidermied creatures. I think bats are one of the best mammals!
The fruit bats are very active around here at this time of year, and eating plenty of fruit according to their calling cards. I do love them and they make a great scene flying overhead at night but they are messy and noisy and can be smelly in large numbers. Locally, large amounts of trees on Parramatta River have been absolutely denuded by the tens of thousands that live there.
That section of riverbank is not a great place to go walking.

Thank you very much racer4four. We have a lot of bats here in the summer that cause much panic. I just turn off the inside lights and turn on an outside light and they fly right out.
