The late Loetz production during its decline phase at the end of the 1930's is very limited documented. Only 19 design papers within 1930-36 are published in Ricke ''Loetz Boehmisches Glas 1880-1940' Vol. 2. Whereas the so called 'Schaumglas' is known in various Ausf's, other decors remain nearly unknown. My vase stands H=11.0 Dm=14.0 Du=5.5 cm and weights more than 1 lb. It is made of clear glass with alternating twisted bright blue stripes and it is matte iridized. The heavy glass contains as additional décor randomly distributed air bubbles, as was popular in the mid 30's and it was made of comparable quality as contemporary 'Leerdam' and/or WMF Ikora glass vases. The shape of this vase is identified based on the similarity to two vases exhibited at the 'Muzeum Sumavy at Susice a Kasperske Hory' and at the 'Waldmuseum Zwiesel' in 1999-2000 and published in an accompanying booklet by Dr. Jitka Lnenickova 'Johann Loetz 1824-1939 Glas aus dem Boehmerwald' at page 71 as shown on photo 4 for comparison and photo 3 is taken from a similar point of view to allow for a more convincing assignment.
