Some of the most desirable 'intra-war' Kralik pieces are the hand blown pontil/fired rim pieces and this is one of those. I would describe this as green, however when shot from the base, it clearly appears more teal, almost blue. But when viewed in situe, it certainly appears green....ish - it's actually a very beautiful colour, however you look at it. What I also love about this décor is that the canes, unlike some other Kralik pieces, they appear soft, almost nebulous, there's a feeling of motion to them, combine all that with the mirror like quality of the iris finish, and you can lose yourself in this one. 10" (25cm).

Great shots, very aquatic, I can confirm the murrines get white in the middle and the ends get soft. If I had to guess it’s the instability of green glass
