Gorgeous wings and body, he's so eyecatching. He's very reminiscent of a really hot summers day by a river somewhere. (Where you'd tend to see them)
The twist on his body is a little unusual too, usually it's a straight body line etc.

Lauren it never occurred to me but you're exactly right, most dragonfly jewelry has a straight body & this curved one makes it quite special. It would look perfect flying near a river on a summer day...we actually see them often darting about in warm weather as we're not far from a canal, and I even put up a dragonfly garden flag this year :)
Karen there is something magical about abalone you know, and too bad it is overharvested today as I think it's restricted for their safety. But the older stuff like this is better anyway, when they made jewelry with style
