This is an unused calendar print from the 1940's titled "Lovely Lady" by Jules Erbit.

"Little is known about Jules Erbit (1889 – 1968), but this master of pastels was one of the most prolific pin-up artists from the 1930s into the 1950s. His lovely women grace calendars, posters and prints, published by C. Moss, Brown & Bigelow, and others."

"The charming pastels of Jules Erbit, the versatile prolific American illustrator who worked for all of the major calendar companies during his long career. Exclusively a pastel artist, Erbit created a few nudes for the Thomas D. Murphy Calendar Company but his signature genre featured the Erbit girl, a generally wholesome, gregarious and approachable beauty. This artwork is a wonderful example of his Good Girl Art style."

Digital frame added for second image.

Thanks for the love on this beauty Phil, I couldn't agree more on your assessment.
The contrast between the red & black is what caught my eye, the big smile & blond hair was the icing on the cake.

      SEASON'S GREETINGS
      FROM DOWN UNDER !!!!!!!
    26. Guardian Guardian, 4 years ago
Nice one. I also have a few Jules Erbit vintage prints. I should scan them. :) By the way, a tiny note. Jules Erbit wasn't an American Illustrator. He was a Hungarian illustrator who have lived in the United States. He was born in my hometown, Budapest, Hungary, in 1889 as Gyula von Zombori Erbits.
