Cast Iron Gate and Posts made by Page Fence Co. Late 1880's 1900's Bow and Arrow design. I made the fence on each side and the Fence outside our shop out of sewing machine base parts!! Look close!! The Gate keeps the kids with Ice Cream in our I/C shoppe from hugging Father Christmas!!!

If you really want to keep the kids out rig it with some electric fence parts. They will learn quickly. Hehehe

Thanks for your comment but if it wasn't for kids!!! I would have been out of biz 30 years ago!!! Don't you remember your first ice cream!!! My first ice cream shop was Charlies!!! I love seeing the look on a their face when a mother or father giving them their first taste of ice cream!!! Surprise!!! then coming back for more!!! Keeps me young!!!

I'm with you Fhr. What's wrong with kids, is ah, ah,- they are just too immature. They should grow up & act their age ! LOL. Luv the ironwork & the latch, especially caught my eye.

You certainly are good with wrought iron and congrats on this talent you certainly have. I thought of kids too when I saw the first pic. That is a good use and I am sure some people would love gates like this for their tykes. I have some good valuable books on some of the 'greats' like Brandt who was probably the greatest artisan in my book. Your work would work well in museums keeping folks where they want them contained. Maybe in a past life you worked for Bill Brandt, superb pieces !~
